My next trade show magic gig is fast approaching so I have been doing a lot of preparation for it. Of course, I to replicate the success that I had in Atlanta. This will no doubt help to further establish myself in this particular market. One of my company’s big goals is to get a firm establishment in the trade show market. I will be performing at New Orleans NADA convention in order to market to automobile dealers. You can read more about the upcoming convention on it’s website: National Automobile Dealers Association.
I have 20 pages of script typed out for this upcoming show so I will be rehearsing and practicing quite a bit. I have strolling magic and a parlor show that divides the script so I have two different performances. The script required a lot of hard work from me in order to get it done right. However, it was well worth the hard work and I am glad I took the time to write it.
I have some really cool acts I put together for this show so ultimately it will be interesting to watch. One of the acts involves picking a card, toasting bread and peanut butter and jelly jars magically switching places. Sometimes the jars turn into a can of chili beans unexpectedly which catches people by surprise. The magician in the act also loses control of the magic and it takes a life of it’s own and scares the magician. It’s very funny!
I also have a lot of mentalism in the magic act. I like to use mentalism because it entertains adults, is customizable to sell company product and services and is amazing. So using mentalism is a key to success in the trade show market in my opinion. Anyway, time for me to close out this post here!
