I Worked Hard Yesterday And Got A Lot Accomplished
I worked hard yesterday so I feel like I am getting somewhere. The day was a productive because I wanted to be ready for my upcoming gig. One activity I engaged in was a 2 mile walk due to the need for exercise. Exercise is important for your productivity because you take care of yourself. If you don’t exercise it seems to hurt your energy level and thus your productivity. So, it’s important not under-estimate the need for exercise.
A key to a productive day is also using a daily to do list. Your productivity gets much better when you use such a list but it’s also important to use it correctly. The website, Lifehack, provides some great tips on how to use the daily to do list wisely: Daily To Do List Practices. I have long term goals that I write out every day and then a daily to do list. I like to use the daily to do list to break my long term goals down into simple small tasks. This approach enables you to get a lot done over a period of time and ultimately accomplish your goals.
Combining Daily To Do List And Long Term Goal List
Two lists are important, the long term goal list and daily to do list. The long term goal list gives you direction and a destination to work towards so you have a purpose. A lack of purpose is what hurts many people and their productivity. A daily to do list is part of your plan to accomplish your long term goals. By breaking down tasks into small things each day that work towards goals, over time you accomplish a lot.
I think their is a saying that goes “drip by drip the giant jug fills slowly up to full.” So, it’s the same concept as long term goals and daily tasks. The jug is your long term goals and the daily to do list is each drip of water filling the jug. The concept is very simple and easy to understand. It works quite well in the real world.
